Artists & Labels

  1. Why can't I change my artist or label names? The artist or label name in the metadata is set automatically with information from your registration. At the moment, you can only register one artist and one label per user, respectively.
  2. Why do I get an error message when I want to add a new artist? You can only register for one artist name with your user account. In order to manage multiple bands, you have to register as a label.
  3. I have my music on SoundCloud already and I want to connect my account with mufin! Simply link to your account from SoundCloud with mufin.com. Go to your artist or label tab under "My Account" and and enter your SoundCloud account data there. Following this, we'll take you through the process of how you can access your music on mufin.com.
  4. The information for the MP3s I want to upload is incomplete or missing! In order to add your music to the database, we require correct and complete metadata. If this information is not available in the ID3 tags when you try to upload your music, then you can add this information manually during the upload process.
  5. Why is the metadata contained in my MP3 file displayed incorrectly while uploading to mufin? At the moment, we can only read ID3v1 data during the upload process. Informtaion from ID3v2 data will not be processed and must be added later by hand.
  6. Can I change song information again later on? As soon as the data has been imported into our database, it cannot be changed again. In case there are errors in the data, then you can use the option "Report incorrect data" at mufin.com. The function for editing track information retroactively will be available soon.
  7. I want to upload multiple albums at once! Use the link artist support for this function.
